Girls need safe communities to explore their emotions and practice vulnerability.
This empowers them to trust themselves "out there in the world” and to develop self-understanding and compassion, reducing a sense of “wrongness” (shame) that may keep them from having the esteem to show up confidently in social settings, and later, from pursuing their dreams. #KnowYourValue

What did your “Inner adolescent” need that she did not receive ?
Space for alone time? Allowance of feelings? Having her voice/preference be known? Freedom to explore? Freedom to be angry?
It is never too late to give your “inner child” what she needed back then. And it is never too late to give your children that which you did not receive.
