Art Therapy

"When art and psychotherapy are joined, the scope and depth of each can be expanded, and when working together, they are tied to humanity's history of healing"
~Shaun McNiff
The Arts and Psychotherapy
Research shows that the healthy expression of emotion reduces anxiety, boosts self-esteem and confidence, improves cognition, and positively impacts physical, emotional, and mental health!
Art therapy as a practice, coupled with talk therapy, facilitates the movement of emotions that would otherwise go unexpressed and manifest as anxiety, depression, and undesirable "mental health symptoms" that can worry parents and problematic behaviors like disrespect toward parents, self-injury, eating disorders, high volume screen time, etc.
Come Let Art Be Your Medicine
Medication-Free Support
Do you want to support your child's mental health needs without the use of harsh pharmaceuticals but don't know how to alleviate their suffering any other way?
~
Pharmaceutical interventions like Prozac, Zoloft, and Welbutrin (to name a few antidepressants/anxiety) do not address the root cause of anxiety or depression and can lead to mal-adaptive beliefs about the self ("there is something wrong with me!") as well as an increase in inflammation in the body which can worsen anxiety and depression symptoms.
Long-term studies of the use of these medications indicate a weakening of the immune system, as well as significantly compromised digestive health.
Come learn about natural and sustaining support for your child's whole body wellness needs.
